- Specifications and Features -

  • Fully supported with after sales advice & support, in-house Inon authorized repairs and original parts by Sea Optics when purchased from us.
  • Made in Japan.
  • High performance and incredibly compact S-TTL strobe head.
  • TTL auto exposure technology. The S2000 has very special circuitry called S-TTL where it actually does meter off the cameras CCD/CMOS chip, giving you accurate TTL flash technology for true auto point and shoot TTL photos. This new technology is exclusive to Inon and is patent pending.
  • TTL with flash exposure compensation - all built in at no extra add on cost.
  • 12 manual power steps for manually being able to finely adjust the strobes output.
  • Sealed battery compartment, with internal gold plated battey contacts in the bottom of the battery chamber.
  • Ready light.
  • Fine adjustment over E/V settings.
  • All controls are on the back of the head, not on top or any other stupid position. This practical features means that changing or checking your settings is simple and fast.
  • Can be used without fibre optic cable due to technical advancement in the flash sensor technology with all 40m compact digital housings. Inon has informed us that the TTL flash sensor in the S2000 is 100X more sensitive than their previous strobes. The S2000 comes standard with the Inon wireless connection kit, so you have a choice between cable and no cable shooting, as the strobe can of course still accept their fibre optic cables.
  • Guide number of 20 metres on land, so around 11 metres underwater. Extraordinary for such a tiny strobe!
  • Angle of coverage is 105 degrees x 95 degrees without diffuser fitted.
  • Using the standard -0.5 diffuser changes to angle of coverage to around 100 degrees x 100 degrees circular.
  • Colour temp: 5500K at full power with no diffuser and 5400K with diffuser fitted.
  • Uses 4 AA batteries and they MUST BE the new Hahnel SYNERGY or Sanyo ENELOOP brand NiMH batteries. They remain much cooler in use whereas the latest 2700 mAh NiMH get very hot in use and this concerns us.
  • Recycle time with 'AA' 2100 mAh NiMH = approx 1.5 seconds at FULL power.
  • Sea Optics standard items include: S2000 strobe head, -0.5 diffuser, magnet, magnet screw, spare o ring, Inon o ring grease, wireless connection kit and English manual.
  • Optional items include: Hahnel Synergy 12v car/110-240v world charging kit inc 4 x AA NiMH batteries, Inon optic fibre sync cable kits to suit your specific Canon, Panasonic, Olympus, Fuji or Sony 40m housing (kit includes the cable, clear photo film and other specific items to ensure that the cable will work brilliantly with your housing), Inon Z adaptor for use with Inon & Ultra Light clamps and the very cost effective Inon D4 alloy tray/arm.

    • NEXUS SLR HOUSINGS: For Nikon D80, Nikon D90, Nikon D200, Nikon D300, Nikon D300S, Nikon D700, Fuji S5 PRO, Canon EOS 40D & Canon EOS 50D housings: S-TTL auto exposure technology, S-TTL with flash exposure compensation and 12 manual power steps. Requires specific Inon fibre optic cable. This system is NOT limited by the number of strobes used, you can use an infinite number of strobes and get TTL with each of them. A truly brilliant flash system that is in fact 'wireless' and completely water tight that has no 'connection' with the camera at all, very reliable, very simple.
    • SUBAL SLR HOUSINGS: Sea Optics exclusive using Carey's outstanding fibre optic modification to select Subal housings. No holes are drilled and 1 or 2 windows can be fitted, plus the whole process is easily reversed, if required: TTL auto exposure technology, S-TTL with flash exposure compensation and 12 manual power steps. Requires specific Inon fibre optic cable. We have very successfully now set up many Inon strobes to suit a variety of Subal housings
    • PATIMA COMPACT DIGITAL HOUSINGS:  S-TTL auto exposure technology, S-TTL with flash exposure compensation and 12 manual power steps. Requires specific Inon fibre optic cable. We have very successfully now set up many Inon strobes to suit the Patima housings for Canon Powershot G9, G10 & G11, so long as your housing has a window area for the internal flash, then chances are we can fit an Inon strobe to it.
    • IKELITE COMPACT DIGITAL HOUSINGS: S-TTL auto exposure technology, S-TTL with flash exposure compensation and 12 manual power steps. Requires specific Inon fibre optic cable. We have very successfully now set up many Inon strobes to suit a large variety of compact digital Ikelite housings, so long as your housing has a window area for the internal flash, then chances are we can fit an Inon strobe to it.
    • FIX COMPACT DIGITAL HOUSINGS: S-TTL auto exposure technology, S-TTL with flash exposure compensation and 12 manual power steps. Requires specific Inon fibre optic cable. We have very successfully now set up Inon strobes to suit the FIX housings for Canon Powershot S90 and Fuji Finepix Real 3D W1, so long as your housing has a window area for the internal flash, then chances are we can fit an Inon strobe to it.

    - Double Under Strobe LED Light Adaptor -

    impressive new 'Double Under Strobe' fitted with 2 x LE250 LED lights & a S2000. Totally compatible with D2000 and Z240 strobes as well

    • Adaptor to hold 2 x LE250, LE550-S or LE550-W LED lights underneath a S2000, D2000 or Z240 strobe head. Providing a combined total of up to 1100 lumens of output from 2 heads (depending on LED model) and your strobe on the 1 arm.
